A resident of the district’s Bhagwanpur village has been booked on the charge of having misbehaved with the police at his house.
On the complaint of head constable Satnam Singh, a case was registered against the accused, identified as Soni Kumar, under various Sections of the IPC.
As per the complaint, Kumar’s daughter-in-law Nidhi had called up the police control room on Monday and alleged that Kumar was quarrelling with her and her husband. When the police reached there, he stared abusing them. In his complaint, the head constable said: “Kumar tried to tear my uniform, and threatened me and other police officials with dire consequences.” — TNS
