The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has called a meeting of its executive body tomorrow. Officials were tight-lipped about the agenda of the meeting, yet the issue of implementation of action on the basis of a report by Akal Takht-appointed probe panel could be the prime agenda.
Other issue could be to decide upon the date of annual budget meeting that was overdue. Normally, the budget meeting is held before March 31 every year, but this year it had to be suspended due to the Covid-19-induced lockdown.
The SGPC has dismissed and suspended officials who were suspected to be directly or indirectly involved in the misappropriation of 328 ‘saroops’ of Guru Granth Sahib. — TNS
