The Muktsar (City) police have booked two persons, including the younger son of an elderly woman, who was found lying abandoned on the Bura Gujjar road here on August 14.
Notably, the maggot-infested woman was living in a 2x3-ft semi-constructed structure, having just about 2-ft height and covered with plywood boards. She was taken to a hospital by some social activists, but her family members later took her home, where she passed away after two days.
The police have registered a case against the woman’s younger son Balwinder Singh and caretaker Rajesh Kumar Dabra under Sections 304, 201, 506 and 34 of the IPC.
