Chandigarh: Theft incidents were reported from two houses in Sector 41. According to the police, complainant Deepak Attri reported that an unknown person stole Rs45,000 and documents from his house on April 1. Another theft incident was reported from the adjoining house of Anirudh Garg, who said Rs6,000 was stolen from his house. A case has been registered at the Sector 39 police station. TNS

Dera Bassi: An unidentified woman tried to snatch a gold chain from Kulwinder Kaur, Congress councillor from Ward No. 17, Dera Bassi, at a village fair here on Friday. The woman was apprehended by local residents, the police said. TNS
Gold chain snatched
Zirakpur: A youth snatched a gold chain from a woman on Thursday night. Kamlesh Kashyap, a resident of Street No. 1, LIC office, said when she was returning home after refuelling at a petrol pump on the Ambala road, a man on foot snatched her chain and fled from the spot.
