Ropar: Prof Rajeev Ahuja is the new Director of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Ropar. He assumed office on Thursday. Prof Ahuja took over the charge from officiating Director Prof PK Raina. Ahuja is professor of Computational Materials Science at Uppsala University, Sweden. He had joined the university as postdoctoral fellow in 1992 after doing his PhD from IIT Roorkee. Prof Ahuja has published 975 scientific papers in peer reviewed journals. — TNS
