Taking cognisance of hate comments, the SGPC has asked Twitter to block the gateway through which remarks against the Sikh community were being posted. In a letter to Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, SGPC president Bibi Jagir Kaur has equated the "direct and deleterious hate-filled" tweets against the Sikhs with the anti-Jew propaganda of the Nazis. She has asked him to instruct his India team to monitor, flag and remove hate-filled tweets and block such Twitter handles.
Kaur said tweets against the Sikhs were the result of farmers' agitation against the central farm laws. — TNS
