A bar employee was allegedly gang-raped by five men on her way back home after she took lift in their car in the wee hours today.
The three accused, whose gave her lift, drove her to Jhajjar, 48 km from here, where they called two of their friends and all five committed the crime in the car.
An FIR in this regard was registered at the women's police station, Manesar. The police claimed that the three accused, who drove her in the car, had been identified and would be nabbed soon.
The 24-year-old victim lives in Delhi and works in a bar on the MG road. According to the complaint filed by the victim, it was at around 3 am when she was waiting for transport opposite the Sahara mall. The accused came in the car, saying it was as a shared cab.
"I asked the driver about ride to Delhi and he agreed. I asked about the other two persons and was told that they would be dropped at IFFCO Chowk. They, however, took the car on the expressway and sped off and raped me in the car. They then dumped me on road and fled," said the victim.
She managed to reach Farukhnagar and informed the police about the crime.
After getting information, a team of the women police station, Manesar, met the victim and rushed her to hospital for medical examination, which confirmed rape.
On the complaint of the victim, a case was registered against three unknown persons under Sections 376-D, 506 and 342 of the IPC at the women police station, Manesar.
