The police have arrested two persons for allegedly looting and physically assaulting a liquor vend employee in Rajiv Colony here on Friday evening.
The suspects have been identified as Pintoo, a native of Uttar Pradesh and currently living in Rajiv Colony, and Daddan, a resident of Uttar Pradesh and currently living in Mauli Jagran.
In his complaint to the police, the victim, Rohit Pandey, had stated that the two suspects had come to purchase liquor but entered into a heated argument over its price, which led to a brawl.
“One of the suspects entered the vend and punched the victim in the face. While leaving, they took away Rs15,000 from the cash box,” the FIR stated, quoting the complainant.
A case was registered under Section 379-B (theft), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code at the Sector 14 police station.
