The police claimed to have busted a gang of vehicle thieves by arresting four persons. As many as 12 vehicles, including nine motorcycles, have been recovered from the accused.
According to police officials, the accused, identified as Faisal, Yunus, Jahul and Ismail, all residents of Nuh district, were nabbed from a spot near Hardware Chowk in the city on the basis of input from the sources on Wednesday evening.
Two days of police remand of the accused led to recovery of nine motorcycles and three cars, which had been stolen from Faridabad, Gurugram and Delhi in the past two years. A countrymade revolver and a live cartridge have also been recovered. It is revealed that the accused used to dispose of the stolen vehicles in Nuh, Mewat district.
"The accused had been active in the region for the past several years and had been arrested earlier too," said a police official. He said the accused had been remanded to judicial custody on Saturday. — TNS
