Chandigarh, December 29
Panchkula, Sonepat and Ambala will get their first directly elected Mayors as all is set for counting of votes for municipal elections on Wednesday.
The Rewari Municipal Council and municipal committees of Dharuhera, Sampla and Uklana will also get their directly elected presidents for the first time.
Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the counting of votes. The BJP-JJP combine and the Congress are locked in a direct contest in all seven civic bodies.
