Mohali, December 22
The police have booked four persons for selling illicit liquor and arrested two of them from Jagatpura and seized 20 cartons from their possession. Those arrested have been identified as Vikram Thakur, a resident of Bilaspur (HP), and Sukhwinder Singh. Their investigation revealed that two Zirakpur residents, Om Kumar and Pradeep Kumar, were also involved in buying liquor from Chandigarh and selling it in nearby areas. A case has been registered against the suspects. Vikram and Sukhwinder have been sent to police remand. — TNS
