A team of the Central Goods and Services Tax Commissionerate arrested a city-based businessman in connection with an alleged GST fraud of Rs 22.74 crore.
The team also recovered over Rs 90 lakh from his Sector-15 house and seized many documents. He was produced in a Delhi court and sent to judicial custody. Identified as Rajesh Kumar Gupta, he owns a firm in the name of Deepchand-Rajesh Kumar on Pataudi road. Through this firm, he was allegedly involved in the business of gutkha, tobacco, bidis and cigarettes.
