Brace for severe cold wave in tricity

Brace for cold to severe cold wave conditions in the tricity during the next three to four days. According to the Chandigarh Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature during this period is expected to be below 4deg;C at a few places and below 2deg;C at isolated places.

Dense to very dense fog is likely at a few places at night and in the early morning hours. The weatherman, however, said the weather was likely to remain mainly dry over the next five days. Meanwhile, the maximum temperature in the city today was 14.5deg;C, six degrees below normal, while the minimum temperature was 6.4deg;C, one degree above normal. The city recorded 4.3 mm of rainfall in the past 24 hours.
