A cheating case registered by the Chandigarh Police against two persons identified as Balajee John and Vinod Sharma earlier this month for duping Eli Lilly and Company Pvt Ltd, a pharmaceutical firm, to the tune of Rs 5.05 lakh. Now, the pharmaceutical firm clarified that it was not associated with Balajee John and never had any business relationship with him.
It was further stated that the company had not interacted about the alleged deal with the complainant nor it received or accepted any payment from him directly or indirectly.
The company added that some unscrupulous person had created an identity and/or email using its name so as to deceive people in believing that they were dealing with the firm.
