A delegation of local Congress leaders today submitted a memorandum to President Ram Nath Kovind and Haryana
Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya through City Magistrate Dheeraj Chahal demanding deferment of JEE and NEET.
Meanwhile, Youth Congress leaders also staged a dharna in Sector 5 here over the issue.
Congress leaders, including Upinder Kaur, Naresh Rawal and others, demanded that the examinations to be held in
September this year should be deferred due to rise in Covid-19 cases across the country.
The Congress leaders said conducting JEE and NEET in these times would be like playing with the health of students appearing for the exams.
