Chandigarh, August 25
The Congress government will table five ordinances in the forthcoming one-day session of the Vidhan Sabha being held on August 28.
Besides, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur State University of Law Bill-2020, which will pave the way for setting up of a law university in Tarn Taran, will be presented in the session. The draft of the Bill was approved by the Cabinet today.
Other bills to be presented during the session include The Punjab Clinical Establishment (Registration and Regulation) Ordinance 2020, The Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners (Temporary Release) Act, Punjab Substance Use Disorder Treatment and Counselling and Rehabilitation Centres Rules 2011, Industrial Disputes Act — Contract Labour (Regulation and Abolition) Act.
