Chandigarh, August 26
A 36-year-old Activa rider died after the scooter was hit by a truck near Maloya. The victim was a priest at a temple in Maloya.
The police said the victim had been identified as Ramashankar, a resident of Jujhar Nagar, Mohali.
He was coming to the temple from home when the accident took place.
He was seriously injured and rushed to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The police have registered a case against the truck driver at the Maloya police station. — TNS
