New Delhi: The Ministry of Health and Home Affairs on Tuesday held a joint press conference to tackle the corona virus and improve the lockdown situation.
Speaking on the occasion, Home Ministry Joint Secretary Punya Salila Srivastava said that the maximum number of people attending the wedding or funeral procession has been fixed. No more than 50 people can attend the wedding while no more than 20 people will be allowed on the final journey. In such cases the rule of physical distance has to be followed. A face mask is also important.
Work begins to repatriate Indians stranded abroad
The repatriation of Indian nationals stranded abroad will begin in a phased manner from May 7. Standard operating protocols have also been developed to bring people back. Apart from shipping, the Government of India will also assist the Navy in this endeavor.
62 labor special trains run to transport people to their homes
He said that so far Railways has run 62 special labor trains for migrant workers and others stranded in other states. Thirteen more trains were run on Tuesday.
Rules for companies
He said that handwash, sanitizer and cleanliness should be provided in the offices. All employees must wear face masks during work. Physical distance should also be observed in the office. Staff will have to take lunch breaks at different times to keep distance between them. Registration of all employees on Arogya Setu app is also required. Office and transport vehicles will also have to be constantly sanitized.
