The complainant, Varinder Pal Singh, reported that the shutter of the showroom was broken to gain entry into the showroom on November 22. The police have registered a case. TNS
Thieves take away Cash, jewellery
Dera Bassi: Four suspects stole Rs13 lakh and jewellery from a house in Dera Bassi on Monday morning. The victim, Jasvir Singh, a shopkeeper, said there was no one in the house when the incident took place. The thieves broke open the locks of the house. They stole cash and jewellery from the cupboard. The incident was captured on CCTV cameras. The police are investigating the matter. TNS
Dy CM Sisodia to visit city today
Chandigarh: Manish Sisodia, Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) senior leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister, will be on a one-day visit to Chandigarh on Thursday. Sisodia will attend the Manifesto Dialogue programme organised by the party at the CII, Sector 31. The programme will start at 5 pm, where Sisodia will interact with industrialists, lawyers, CAs and people from all intellectual classes to discuss the issues related to the city and take their suggestions. Dodgeball state c'ship on Nov 28
Chandigarh: The Dodgeball Association of Chandigarh has decided to organise the Chandigarh Junior State Dodgeball Championship at CL Aggarwal DAV Model School, Sector 7, here, on November 28. Players on or after December 21, 2002, will be eligible to participate in the junior group, while those born on or after January 1, 2007, will be eligible to participate in the sub-junior group. ICC RCGC Open Golf C'ship
Chandigarh: Chandigarh's Yuvraj Singh Sandhu will feature in the ICC RCGC Open Golf Championship in Kolkata from November 24 to 28. The tournament will offer prize money worth Rs40 lakh and witnesses the return of the TATA Steel PGTI to the revered RCGC after two years. The tournament will feature some of the top Indian professionals such as leading players in the PGTI Order of Merit Manu Gandas, Om Prakash Chouhan, Akshay Sharma, Amardeep Malik, M Dharma and Kshitij Naveed Kaul as well as experienced Shamim Khan and Mukesh Kumar.
