Opening a front against the Capt Amarinder Singh government, Sarbat Khalsa jathedar Dhian Singh Mand has rejected the newly constituted special investigation team (SIT) to probe the sacrilege and firing incidents at Kotkapura.
Addressing a press conference here today, Mand said, "No one will cooperate with the new SIT and no witness or Sikh leaders will register any statement with it."
He also said that if any witness or Sikh leaders registered a statement with the new SIT, they would face social boycott from the community. He said the community ran pillar to post in its fight to get justice in this case, but the government was not leaving any stone unturned to shield the accused.
