As many as 1,022 senior citizens and 2,465 in the 45 to 59 age group with comorbidities were administered the first shot of the Covid vaccine here today. Besides, 246 senior citizens and 125 in the 45 to 60 age group were given the second dose.
In the healthcare workers' category, 24 were given the first shot and 22 the second. In the frontline workers' category, 1,180 were given the first shot, while 34 were administered the second dose of the vaccine.
A total of 34,821 senior citizens and 28,124 persons in the age group of 45 to 59 years have been jabbed so far.
