Intermittent spell of light rain lashed the city today, bringing some respite from fast-approaching summer.
According to the Meteorology Department, the city received 0.4mm rainfall.
The city is expected to witness partly cloudy sky on Saturday and generally cloudy sky with light rain on Sunday. The department has predicted mainly clear sky for Monday.
The maximum temperature on Friday was recorded at 30.4 degree Celsius, which was 3 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was reported at 17.7 degree Celsius, 5 degrees above normal. The day temperature is likely to go up by a notch on Saturday, while the minimum temperature is likely to hover around 16 degree Celsius.
