Jhajjar, March 15
The Bahadurgarh administration has warned the protesting farmers at Tikri not to build concrete huts and install submersible pumps on and along the national highway, failing which stern action may be taken against them.
The warning was issued at a meeting between SDM Hitendra Sharma and a four-member delegation of farmer organisations from Punjab here on Monday. The farmers assured the administration that they will not build concrete huts and install submersible pumps, provided they be ensured the supply of adequate potable water and the round-the-clock deployment of fire-fighting vehicles at Tikri.
