Developing critical legal thinking

Rohtak: Former Vice-Chancellor of National Law University of Delhi and Nalsar, Hyderabad, Prof Ranbir Singh said developing critical legal thinking was essential for effective research in the field of law. Raising vital questions was necessary for developing critical-legal thinking. The eminent academician in his keynote address at the inaugural session of research methodology workshop, organised by the Department of Law of Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU) in collaboration with Ch Ranbir Singh Institute of Social and Economic Change (CRISEC) University, said educational institutions become important due to achievements of its students. He said the research scholars and students must put in extra efforts, hard work, and read and write more to be successful.

Improving students' employability

Faridabad: The Community College of Skill Development (CCSD) and the alumni and corporate affairs (Aamp;CA) cell of the JC Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, has signed an MoU with Shigan Evoltz Limited, a leading manufacturer of electric vehicles (EVs), in Manesar. "The agreement would focus on providing workforce in the area of EVs and supporting innovative ideas of BTech students,'' says VC Dinesh Kumar. Principal, CCSD, and director, (alumni amp; corporate Affairs, Dr Sanjeev Goyal, and MD, Shigan Evoltz Limited, Gagan Agarwal signed the MoU in the presence of the VC.

Intellectual property rights

Faridabad: The research promotion cell of the DAV Institute of Management, Faridabad, in association with its internal quality assurance cell, organised an e-workshop for students of MBA and MCA. A spokesperson for the institute said the topic was the fundamentals of intellectual property rights. Dr Suvarna S Nilakh, Assistant Professor, ILS Law College, Pune, was the key speaker. She highlighted the importance of intellectual property rights for businesses and why it need to be protected.
