A computer operator of the Gurugram police security branch has been suspended for allegedly taking bribe. A departmental enquiry has been marked. The branch is entrusted with providing police permission for events run from the Commissioner's office.
According to the suspension order issued by Astha Modi, DCP (headquarters), on Wednesday, the computer operator, Head Constable Bhagat Singh of the security branch of the Gurugram police, demanded some goods from the organiser, who had sought permission to organise the National Silk Expo at Apparel House, Sector 44, from March18 to 26.
Police Commissioner KK Rao said corruption would be not be tolerated.
