Mayor Raj Bala Malik laid the foundation stone for strengthening the existing sewer system at Burail village here today.
The Mayor said sewer lines at Burail village were laid around 40 years ago. With the passage of time, a lot of development took place in the village. The population increased manifold, needing enhanced sewer system.
Councillor Kanwarjeet Singh Rana said these sewer lines were old and residents were facing a lot of inconvenience due to the blockage of sewer lines and overflow of sewage from manholes. An estimate of Rs56.59 lakh was approved for strengthening the existing sewer system. — TNS
