Two motorcycle-borne miscreants targeted a special executive magistrate and made off with his mobile phone at Dadu Majra Colony. They also took away a challan book, while he was issuing challans for not wearing face masks.
According to the police, the complainant, Inderjit Singh, Special Executive Magistrate, was holding a challan book and listening to a call near a private clinic at the colony when the miscreants riding a Splendor motorcycle arrived from the rear and snatched his phone and challan book.
The police were informed about the incident following which cops reached the spot and initiated an investigation.
A case has been registered at the Maloya police station and an investigation has been initiated into it. The police said the footage of CCTV cameras in the area was being scrutinised to identity the miscreants.
