Sonepat, December 19
The biting cold is no deterrent for farmers as they continue to protest against the farm laws in temperatures as low as of 4 deg Celsius at night.
To fight cold, they have made some arrangements. Some have pitched tents, while all light bonfire at night.
The "pakka morcha" at the Singhu border against the Modi government symbolises that they would not step back.
Amrit Singh of Jagraon said, "Initially, we had the impression that the matter will be resolved in a week. Now, it has become clear the fight is long and we are up for it."
Farmer leaders decided that the "Shradhanjali Diwas" would be observed on Sunday in all villages, blocks and districts across the country to pay homage to 29 farmers, who lost their lives during the ongoing protest. — TNS
