Chandigarh: A 24-year-old youth reportedly committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Hallo Majra. The victim has been identified as Gaurav, who was residing with his parents and brother. The victim went to his room around 11 pm on Thursday and was found hanging by his family this morning. The police were informed and the victim was shifted to the GMCH, Sector 32, where doctors declared him brought dead. The police said the victim was unemployed. No suicide note was found. TNS
24-yr-old resident held with ganja
Chandigarh: The UT police have arrested a 24-year-old youth while possessing ganja. According to the police, the suspect, identified as Amit, alias Mota, a resident of Phase 1, Bapu Dham Colony (BDC), was nabbed from near the Transport Area light point while possessing 350 grams of ganja. A case under the NDPS Act has been registered against the suspect at the Sector 26 police station and an investigation has been initiated into the matter. TNS
