Fazilka: The BSF claimed to have recovered 2-kg heroin near the International border in the Border Outpost Gatti Biosoke area in Fazilka district on Thursday morning. During search operations, the BSF recovered two packets weighting 2-kg heroin worth more than Rs 10 crore in the international market. The contraband was wrapped in yellow adhesive tape lying in the fields of a farmer of PS Wala village. OC
Couple held for sacrilege
Abohar: The Khuyiansarwer police have arrested a couple wanted in connection with alleged sacrilege of the holy "Gutka Sahib". A case was registered on August 19 on the basis of the statement of Davinder Singh, president of Gurdwara Sangatsar, Kandhwala road, against Darshan Singh and his wife Bimla Rani of Gidderanwali village.
