Chandigarh, July 16
The Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) has decided to suspend all public activities of the party for the time being in view of the increasing cases of Covid-19 in the state.
This was stated by PPCC president Sunil Jakhar. He said the government was working to save the state from the Covid-19 pandemic and in such a situation it was imperative that people should cooperate to prevent the spread of the disease.
Jakhar said till the situation improved, the party would reach out to people through virtual media, but for the time being no public programme or meeting would be held. He urged everyone to follow health guidelines issued by the state government in letter and spirit. — TNS
