New Delhi: The third phase of the nationwide lockdown announced to curb the spread of the corona epidemic is set to begin on Monday. This phase, which will run till May 17, will be much more relaxed than the previous two phases.

This time in the green zone districts almost all activities have been exempted along with physical distance rules and other precautions. The range of exemptions has also been extended in the Orange Zone.

In the red zone, the lockdown will have to be strictly followed. Only compulsory activities will be allowed in such areas. State governments may make changes to the waiver depending on the circumstances. Apart from the containment zone, people in every area are now allowed to come and go for non-essential activities between 7 am and 7 pm.

Barber shops, spas and salons will also be allowed in the Green and Orange Zones. The supply of non-essential items to e-commerce companies in these zones has also been approved. OPDs and medical clinics are allowed in all zones except the containment area. No state will restrict the movement of goods in one state. In the red zone, e-commerce companies will also supply only essential items. There will be a complete ban on movement of people in the container area. There, essential services will be delivered to people's homes.

Nationwide ban on these

Rail, metro and air travel will remain completely closed. Road transport from one state to another, schools, colleges and other educational institutions and other hospitality services including hotels and restaurants were also not allowed. In no zone were people over the age of 65, sick, pregnant women and children under the age of 10 allowed to leave their homes except for urgent work and health needs.

Zones are divided on this basis

The districts have been divided into zones on the basis of infection cases. Where no case has come to light for 21 days, such districts have been placed in the green zone. The districts with control cases are in the Orange Zone and the districts with more cases are in the Red Zone.

According to the health ministry, there were 130 red zones, 284 orange zones and 319 green zone districts in the country on Friday. The highest number of 19 red zone districts is in Uttar Pradesh and 14 in Maharashtra. All the districts in Delhi are in the red zone.
